spinach and moong dal(pesara pappu)

moong dal - 1 cup
spinach - 3 cups chopped
green chillies - 3 or 4
oil- 3 spoons
cumin seeds,mustard seeds, dry chillies, curry leaves and turmeric for seasoning.
onion - 1/2-chopped (optional)
lemon juice- 2 spoons (optional)
Boil dal til soft, drain excess water.
in a wide pan, heat oil, fry all seasonings. add green chillies and onions. fry for 2 mnts. add chopped spinach and salt, cook for 5mnts. add boiled dal, cook for 2mnts and turnoff heat. let cool for a while and add lemon juice.
to make it a dry curry, dal should be boiled a little less and not too soft. drain off excess water. also fry spinach 2 more minutes until dry. and then add dal.
